After making a brief detour to Los Angeles, De Shaffer moved to New York City where she continued appearing in X-rated East Coast fare. Among the notable adult film directors that Christine worked for are Bob Chinn, Larry Revene, Joseph W. Sarno, Shaun Costello, and Roger Watkins. De Shaffer left the adult entertainment industry in 1987. She died at age 46 on February 24, 2001.
