Irina e Kalle são dois seres perdidos que se encontram e tentam defender sua felicidade de todas as maneiras possíveis. Irina, que veio da Macedônia, teve sua casa invadida por soldados durante a guerra; sua família foi assassinada e ela, estuprada. Traumatizada, ela fugiu para Berlim, onde hoje trabalha como prostituta. Ela conhece Kalle, um punk sem-teto, nas ruas. Os dois se apaixonam e começam a construir uma pequena vida para si. Um dia, um dos clientes de Irina cai morto no apartamento deles. Irina entra em pânico e foge. Kalle chega em casa, encontra o corpo e toma uma decisão drástica para salvar Irina.
