The Newsroom je serija HBO-a koja će s emitiranjem početi 24.06.2012. Kretor je Aaron Sorkin (serije The West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip i scenarist filmova A Few Good Men, The Social Network, Moneyball), a serija prati tim koji stvara večernje vijesti na kablovskoj televiziji Atlantis Cable News (ACN) na čelu s popularnim voditeljem Willom (Jeff Daniels) i producenticom Mackenzie MacHale (Emily Mortimer), a nadgleda ih predsjenik kuće Charlie Skinner (Sam Waterston). U seriji se pojavljuje i Jane Fonda kao predsjednica medijske korporacije koja je vlasnik ACN-a. Za prvu sezonu HBO je naručio 10 epizoda.
