Rudarski gradić unajmi zagonetnog revolveraša da ih zaštiti od trojice opasnih bandita

U mali rudarski grad Lago dojahao je tajanstveni, šutljivi kauboj. Dolazak tog neznanca unese nemir. U saloonu ga trojica počnu izazivati no sve ostane samo na tome. Ali dok je neznanac u brijačnici, oni ga napadnu. On svakog na mjestu ubije, i to jednim metkom točno između očiju. Dave Drake, koji vodi poslove rudarske tvrtke, a i drugi viđeniji građani kao vlasnik hotela Lewis Belding, pa i sam šerif Dan Shaw, slože se da bi trebalo neznanca unajmiti kako bi ih zaštitio kad se iz zatvora vrate trojica opasnih razbojnika na čelu sa Staceyjem Bridgesom.
