Lopov pokušava sve kako bi se dokopao svog prstena kojeg mu je oteo prevrtljivi bogataš

Lopov Kevin Caffery (Martin Lawrence) svoju novu priliku za lakom zaradom prepozna u bogatašu Maxu Fairbanksu (Danny DeVito). Međutim, tijekom provale u Maxovu kuću, Kevina primijeti i uhvati sam bogataš, koji ga pod prijetnjom pištoljem zadrži do dolaska policije. Kada se policija pojavi, Max napravi i korak više te policajcima kaže kako prsten na Kevinovoj ruci zapravo pripada njemu. Naravno, policajci mu nemaju razloga ne vjerovati i natjeraju Kevina da skine prsten, koji mu je poklonila njegova nova djevojka. Kevin se s time ne može pomiriti i napravit će sve da vrati svoj prsten.
